HAPPY BIRTHDAY HALLE!

Halle represents a lot of firsts for Brian and I.
Being our first child she experienced all of our firsts and even some trial and errors, new places and experiences.
Looking back at when I first held her, her first steps, words, and first day of school I can't help but wonder where the time went. She turned 6 and is almost as tall as I am :) she has a mouth full of gaps where teeth should be and is so helpful around the house we hardly have to ask or tell her to do anything!
We are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Being her mom isn't always rainbows and sunshine :) but we manage :)
This girl is the oldest and therefore the most responsible. She loves being the boss and giving orders to everyone including me. She loves to be the first, to tell others what to do and watch them perform her instructions. She is helpful to the point of overdoing it, and throws fits that make the house shake.
Brian laughs and tells me it's all my fault because I taught her to be dramatic when I taught her to express herself, which I did.
But here she is, a beautiful 6 year old with a heart of gold.
We are so proud to be her parents!
Happy 6th birthday Halle!

Priceless

Not always sunshine and rainbows

Happy Birthday!

Stay tuned for a few posts! First up-Halle the sneak photographer

All of the kids love looking at themselves on the viewer on the back of the camera. The girls also like taking photos, which without mom's permission is a big no no! Halle asked me if I would take some pictures of her room. I told her not right now. Imagine my surprise when I plugged my card into the card reader and these photos magically appeared! I guess these were the "important things" she thought needed to be documented. After a stern talking to she asked, 'My birfday is in July, can I have a camera like Mom's?"

Marathon Post #3: Halle SO funny

Halle has been just a ball of laughter lately!
Today she thought she was hurt for some reason...and she said to Brian, "Dad help me, I'm wounded!"

Earlier today she called me a STOOGE, whoever taught her that-come see me :<

When we were getting ready to leave yesterday she said, "You're going on an airplane and I can't jump up so high and grab it out of the sky, right?"

The girls were getting ready for bed and I told Brian that Sofia could not have any cotton candy. I went outside to get the dog some water and Brian tried to give Sofia some cotton candy. Halle turned to him and said, "Dad you not supposed to give her any!"

Puff Puff your house down

Sorry it's been awhile but we've been BUSY BUSY around here!

We DROVE 14 hours to get to my mom's and did all kinds of fun things, I'll post pictures and a story later. My sister is here visiting for an entire week! So it has been NICE to get some things done that I havent been able to get done!
She was here in June too and it is SO nice!

We were folding clothes-it is such a great job when you have company-Halle came up and asked if she could help. I said yes and gave her a stack to take upstairs.
I followed her with my eyes up the stairs and watched her turn around and chuck the pile of clothes down the stairs. She then crossed her arms and shouted, "I am SO angry, I am going to Puff and Puff your house down!" then she blew and blew and blew at me. I had to turn my back to her I was laughing so hard!

I don't know what I did but I'm glad she has little lungs or my house would have fallen down!

Unveiling a non imaginary friend and other stories

Halle has been saying the funniest things lately. I found that I really have to listen to catch some things but here are a few stories I thought I would share!

I'll start of with the shorter story.

We LOVE Vanilla in our house! Only vanilla yogurt, only vanilla smells it is CRAZY how much the girls love vanilla. It may be because that is what they are used to and it is routine.
SO
Brian was making something the other night and pulled the vanilla flavoring out of the cupboard and said, "Oohh how about some vanilla?" Halle jumped up off of the floor and said, "Dad I want a taste, a bite of vanilla, please dad, please!" So Brian got the teaspoon full and gave her a taste.
I just have to smile.
She immediately started gaging and fake choking, holding her throat and saying, "Oh dad it's poison, you poisoned me!"

Ok so this next one is more a laugh at me but it is funny just the same :)

Halle had been talking about "Beary" all day. I'd heard bits of pieces of her conversations but wasn't concerned. That afternoon we went to town and when brian would ask her questions she would answer in plural, "we want pizza" we asked, "who is we?" she would answer, "Beary"

On the way home I started asking her questions:
Me: Halle where is Beary?
Halle: Here-points to her shoulder
Me: is Beary a boy or a girl
Halle: a girl, no I'm a girl, Beary is a boy
Halle: He is my best friend
Me: is Beary a big boy?
Halle: -showing me her fingers squished together- no mama he is tiny
Halle: you know mama, BEARY

I took a few minutes then DUH

Me: Halle are you talking about Barry, the bee from Bee Movie?
Halle: -smiles- Yes, he is here-points to her shoulder again-
Me: -red faced- Oh, good!

I was SO relieved that she really didn't have an imaginary friend.

Funny Things Halle Says

What a funny little lady I have!
We had our niece here that is right between Halle and Payton had a sleepover last night.
Kodi is potty training and this was the conversation:
Kodi: "I GOTTA GO PEE"
Halle: Whats pee?
Me: She means potty
Halle: Oh, why didn't she just say potty?
Me: Pee is another word for potty, but I don't like it, I like potty.
Halle: Me too.
Her face was SO funny, all scrunched up and gross :)

We drove by Potlatch-a big stinky plant you have to drive by to get anywhere here :<{
Halle: Look Uncle Scott built that, good job Uncle Scott!
Me: He didnt build it Halle, thats where he works.
Halle: Good Job!

Halle Story

Just thought I'd share a few stories while they are fresh on my mind :)

Halle the sicky:
Halle isn't feeling well today, I knew yesterday that today would be tough because when I went upstairs to go to bed around 11:30 I heard Sofia, so I got her up and changed her diaper and put her back to bed then I notice Halle's light is on in her room so I open her door to find her completely dressed in her Cinderella dress up shoes and all talking to her dolls. I said, "Halle it is late and time for bed, lets go potty and then I'll cover you up." Halle said, "I'm hungry, lets have some cheese and a drink and maybe watch some T.V.?" I laughed but we had a piece of cheese and a drink and then went to bed, I put her in her bed and she said, "Thank you for the cheese and drink mama, and no thank you for the T.V." I laughed again but could tell she didnt feel well because she adds -y to everything like cupy, cheesey, drinky or -s like mines, shoeses. SO ANNOYING! So today she woke up after Brian had already left for work and said, "Mama I dont feel better, I need dad and some oatmeal." Brian brought the mail home around 10 and Halle was pretty whiny and said, "dad I need a cuddle and some oatmeal" So he made her some oatmeal and kissed her on the forehead. I put her down for a nap and she said, "Mama thank you for dad and the oatmeal, and my tippo(her hippo)" Sweet!

Going down a long road

Sorry it has been so long! I miss posting and catching up on everyone elses happenings but we've had a slight upheaval in our house :) We have an additional 2, ages 3 and 1, visiting us for a month or so so the past week of getting everyone into a routine and just settled in kwim? I got out of the house today and it is REALLY refreshing just to see civilization even if it was for just a few hours! It really is great to have an understanding partner and a great babysitter too! I haven't had my camera out much but here are a few of Sofia, she's been a GREAT BIG HOOT lately :) Hoping to get back on track soon!
